Independent Community Report
We the disenfranchised voters of the State of New York would like to express our deep disappointment in this “hopelessly flawed report” from Attorney General Letitia James.
We the disenfranchised voters of the State of New York would like to express our deep disappointment in this “hopelessly flawed report” from Attorney General Letitia James. It is with this disappointment and our deepest discomfort with its proceedings that we had decided to create our own report. This report was headed by Mr. R.A. Ramirez, joined by a legal team of investigators and a community whose desire was to search and obtain the truth.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo who resigned amidst political pressure on Tuesday, August 10th 2021 has constantly maintained his innocence in the allegations made against him. No court or legislative body or jurisdiction has found or reported anything to the contrary. They have failed to select a grand jury or draft articles of impeachment for investigation. They have failed to proceed with a vote by the legislator with the process outlined within this report, with sources from NYS Law. Every person is entitled to due process of law under our Constitutions, both federal and state. The governor seems to have received nothing of the sort.
This investigation has been flawed from the beginning, with inconsistencies from the witnesses, as their accounts have changed several times, as well as the assigning of the lawyers chosen to perform the investigation. Our report tackles each of these issues in depth, citing public evidence and knowledge and contrasting it against New York State Law.
Attorney General James accepted the report as factual and presented it in full view to New York State voters and our representatives. She did not recuse herself. Based upon this, Attorney General James is guilty of one of the following; not reviewing the report with close scrutiny in relation to New York State Law, of which she upholds, or willingly choosing to ignore the reports inaccuracies and illegalities. We hope when everyone reads Mr. Ramirez’s report they will come to realize as we have that Attorney General Jamesʼ report is not as factual as she led us to believe and should not have been used as evidence against Governor Andrew M. Cuomo.
In conclusion, once everyone has read the enclosed report, our expectation is thus: many will come to the same interpretation we have, that the Attorney General’s report is not based in facts, and was driven by ambition and political pressure to remove a dedicated and strong Governor.
Mr. Ramirez’s report demonstrates the need for Attorney General Jamesʼ report to be null and voided and for her to resign as Attorney General for the State of New York effective immediately.
