Our Public Relations Chair, Michelle Landa, arranged a meeting last night between New Yorkers for Justice and Michael Cohen, bringing together our membership for an important discussion. Mr. Cohen was firm in his message: We must fight back with everything we have, right now. There is no time to delay. The fight is on, and we must organize and unite to defend against the terrible destruction coming from this administration. Over the next few days, we will be sharing Mr. Cohen’s call to action for everyone who opposes the current direction of our country. Stay tuned, more to come.

Inauguration Day is just in a few short weeks, and there seems to be some confusion. Exactly who was elected to the highest office in our beautiful country? Nowhere did the name of Elon Musk ever appear on any ballot, and yet he seems to be running the country. Is Trump now a shadow president-elect? We hear much too much about his influence then we hear about Trump. Quite frankly, that should concern the people who voted for him even more than the people who didn’t. We now have someone who is not American born adjusting how we deal with the finances and business practices of the American people. To make matters worse, the Republicans seem to be endorsing this. Who cares if he is a billionaire? Most of us aren’t. If the Republicans aren’t able to control this situation there needs to be more awareness, and out voices need to be heard loud and clear. Just who is running the show? No matter who each and every voter cast their ballot for last November, with regard to Elon Musk we can all truly say, “NOT MY PRESIDENT!”
